SMC 2022 Scramble

Rules

• This is a scramble event.  Just show up in lobby at the start time, no signup necessary.  You can show up late, leave early, or take breaks in the middle.  $100 prize for first place.

• There are no pre-determined pairings, just invite anyone in lobby.  You can only play a player once.  You cannot decline invites. 
• Match format is 4 games.  Player A bans a venue, Player B bans a venue, Player A picks a venue, Player B picks a venue, Player A chooses to snipe or spy first.  All four games are played.
• 1 point for a draw, 2 points for 3-1 win, 3 points for a 4-0 win.
• Plus, get an additional 0.5 point for every unique venue played during the scramble event (so if during the event you play Aqua, Balc, Library, Teien, Terrace, and Veranda, you get 3 points).
• Players must keep track of their own score!  After the event, DM me (Corvusmellori) on discord to tell me your score and send me your replays, and I will verify the player with the highest score.
• Here are the venue setups for the SMC Scramble.  You must play on these setups or the games don’t count!  Be sure to use the prop file!

  • Balcony: 7 guest, 2:00, a2/3
  • Ballroom: 20 guest, 2:45, a4/8
  • Courtyard: 21 guest, 3:15, a3/7, Simplified Rules
  • Gallery: 21 guest, 3:15, a3/7 no Seduce
  • High-Rise: 14 guest, 3:30, a4/8
  • Library: 21 guest, 3:30, a4/8
  • Moderne: 20 guest, 3:15, a3/8
  • Pub: 12 guest, 2:45, a2/4 Swap, Seduce, Purloin, Fingerprint
  • Redwoods: 12 guest, 3:30, a3/5
  • Teien: 9 guest, 2:15, a2/4 no Inspect
  • Terrace: 17 guest, 3:45, a4/7
  • Veranda: 21 guest, 3:30, a4/8
• These venues are well outside the current competitive meta!  One goal of the Scramble is to see if there are any ways to play the venues outside of the current meta setups, given that we really don’t have very many options for adjusting them at this point.  Feedback on venues that worked is welcome!
